Barcelona, May 2026 – The leading meeting point for professionals in the cosmetics industry is set to celebrate its 10th edition with a historic milestone: the largest Cosmetorium ever held, both in exhibition space and number of participants. On 21 and 22 October 2026, La Farga Exhibition Centre in L'Hospitalet, Barcelona, will host this special anniversary edition, reinforcing the event's position as Spain's leading forum for the formulation, manufacturing and distribution of cosmetic products.

A Milestone Anniversary with Record-Breaking Figures

Cosmetorium 2026 will feature 7,000 m² of exhibition space and has already confirmed the participation of more than 170 companies. These figures make this year's edition the most ambitious in the event's ten-year history, reflecting the industry's continued confidence in a forum that has become the essential annual meeting place for Spain's cosmetics community.

The educational programme takes centre stage in this landmark edition, offering content tailored to professionals across every area of the cosmetics industry.

The event will feature 30 Innovatorium presentations, where leading companies will showcase their latest innovations and breakthrough ingredients, making this one of the most inspiring areas of the exhibition and a true reflection of the trends shaping the future of the cosmetics market.

In addition, attendees will have access to four conference rooms hosting a total of 47 TechFocus sessions dedicated to ingredients, advanced formulation and emerging technologies, alongside 14 hands-on Workshops designed to provide practical, interactive learning experiences focused on the latest industry developments.

A High-Level Scientific Programme

The scientific programme, organised by the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SEQC), will play a central role in this anniversary edition. Two internationally renowned keynote speakers will open the scientific programme:

Dr. Luís F. Santamaría-Babi, Professor of Translational Immunology at the University of Barcelona, will explore the role of immunology in understanding and treating atopic dermatitis.

Dr. Alfonso Valencia, ICREA Research Professor and Director of the Life Sciences Department at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS), will present “Digital Twins and AI Agents in Biomedicine”, examining the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in healthcare.

Beyond the keynote presentations, the programme will address healthy ageing, circadian rhythms, telomeres, sustainable and circular packaging, artificial intelligence, global beauty trends for 2027, inclusive packaging, cosmetic product safety assessment and the latest developments in ingredient regulation.

Cosmetorium Awards: The Anniversary Formula

Cosmetorium 2026 will also host the 10th edition of the Cosmetorium Awards under the theme “Party of 10 – The Anniversary Formula: 10 Years, 10 Ingredients, One Sensory Celebration”.

Participants are challenged to formulate products that evoke the spirit of celebration while limiting the INCI declaration to a maximum of 10 ingredients, demonstrating that less can indeed be more.
