ITB Americas Expands Industry Ties Through WTTC Regional Membership Ahead of 2026 Launch

Business events increasingly serve as platforms where technology providers, infrastructure specialists and service organizations build cross-border partnerships. Messe Berlin Americas has taken another step in that direction by joining the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) as a Regional Member while preparing for the inaugural ITB Americas, scheduled for November 10 to 12, 2026, in Guadalajara, Mexico. The move connects the event organizer with a global network representing the private travel and tourism sector and reflects a broader emphasis on industry collaboration.

ITB Americas is positioned as the first B2B travel trade show designed to unite North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean within a single marketplace. Organized by Messe Berlin Americas, the event is expected to attract more than 5,000 attendees from over 42 countries and regions. Its participant base will include destination organizations, tourism boards, hotel brands, airlines, travel companies, technology providers, MICE professionals and buyers, creating opportunities for commercial engagement and knowledge exchange across the region.

WTTC described the membership as an opportunity to strengthen engagement throughout the travel sector in the Americas. Gloria Guevara, President and CEO of WTTC, said the organization looks forward to working with Messe Berlin Americas to connect industry leaders, encourage regional growth and expand opportunities across the continent. Messe Berlin Americas said the membership supports its objective of building long-term collaboration through the launch of ITB Americas while reinforcing its commitment to innovation and sustainable development within the industry.

Although centered on travel, the event also highlights the growing role of technology and business infrastructure in supporting large international industries. Digital platforms, transportation networks and venue capabilities remain central to enabling global commerce, making major trade exhibitions increasingly relevant to executives responsible for business transformation and international market development.

The Manufacturing Outlook serves as a media partner because its editorial coverage regularly examines how technology, business innovation and industrial collaboration influence global markets and executive decision-making. Coverage of ITB Americas extends beyond the event itself by exploring how international trade platforms encourage cross-sector partnerships, technology adoption and regional economic activity, subjects that align with the publication's focus on practical business insights for industry leaders.

The addition of Messe Berlin Americas to WTTC's regional membership comes well before the first edition of ITB Americas opens its doors, providing another indication of how organizers are building institutional relationships alongside event planning. Those connections are likely to shape discussions during the exhibition while supporting broader collaboration across the travel ecosystem and adjacent industries that contribute to its long-term growth.
