In the food and beverages sector, market demands are shaped by consumer preferences. This extends to packaging, as innovative, efficient, and visually enticing packing is pivotal in captivating consumers. The beverage industry in particular is experiencing a profound transformation in packaging dynamics driven by evolving customer tastes.

Niagara Falls Craft Distillers (NFCD) stands at the vanguard of catering to this transformative shift. It offers diverse packaging formats for non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages with a focus on innovation and customer-centricity.

A subsidiary of the Niagara Falls manufacturing and distillery facility, NFCD Co-Packing Services delivers top-tier canned beverages like rye whisky, maple whisky, vodka, beer, wine, and cider with multiple packing options.

“Our automated co-packing solutions enable customers to quickly and cost-efficiently pack and distribute their beverages in their chosen packaging format,” says Andy Murison, CEO of NFCD.

It provides customized solutions for essential beverage production services, covering blending, canning, storage, and shipping. Low minimum order quantities (MOQ) enable it to offer a wide array of packaging choices, with which it has carved a market niche, catering to craft and medium-sized production needs.

The NFCD team extends support for customers’ brand, product, and recipe development through a well-established network of industry partners. It is also driven to meet the demand for variety packs and multi-mix products.

“Our team ensures that production is done at high quality and the order is delivered on time, producing from 400 to 10,000 cases per customer needs,” says Mike Scarrow, operations director at NFCD.

Along with co-packing capabilities, it has authorizations including the Organic Certification, FDA and TTB approval, CFIA approval, and production licenses as a craft manufacturer. It offers beverage manufacturing services through a high-speed production line capable of handling SKUs of different flavors, sizes, and packaging types with tens of thousands of cases. It can also execute smaller runs from its certified craft facility.

Beyond machinery and processes, NFCD emphasizes collaboration and value addition. Its dedication to sourcing materials and providing complete packaging solution exemplifies its commitment to ensuring clients’ success.

The distillery’s influence extends beyond the confines of its facilities. Its strong supplier network ensures materials are readily available, and a deep understanding of market dynamics enables it to offer comprehensive distribution solutions.

Its dedication to creating a seamless customer experience ensures top-quality production and timely communication. Deeply invested in facilitating clients’ success, it also empowers their advertising and promotional efforts through its co-packing services.

One of its notable achievements is its role in cultivating household brands. From producing clients’ first case to witnessing them flourish into industry giants, NFCD shares the joy throughout their journey of innovation, growth, and triumph.

Our automated co-packing solutions enable customers to quickly and cost-efficiently pack and distribute their beverages in their chosen packaging format.

“When customers are trying to innovate or start a new product line, especially in the non-alcoholic market, they face challenges in finding co-packers willing to work with smaller scale production but still have the specific certifications (GFSI, allergen free facility) that the end user (grocery store market) requires. Many smaller co-packers with small batch options do not have the required certifications. We provide the flexibility to the customer to take them from small scale to larger scale in the same facility,” says Lindsay Yungblut-Claus, customer account manager at NFCD.

Transforming a client’s idea into a thriving business encapsulates its impact. Years ago, a regular client visited NFCD’s facility. Seeing the distillery’s equipment, they enquired about the MOQ to transform a new recipe idea into reality. NFCD aided the client in commercialization, manufacturing, sourcing suppliers for packaging and liquid ingredients, and securing distribution solutions through the Liquor Control Board of Ontario. This partnership continues to blossom, as the client expanded its product range with multiple new SKUs, crossing hundreds of thousands of cases.

Niagara Falls Craft Distillers’ state-of-the-art equipment, streamlined processes, and strong leadership provide a robust foundation to its endeavors. Its excellence as co-packer solidifies its position as a formidable industry player and a reliable partner for beverage packaging requirements.
